Head of Human Resources
to lead our HR function across Australia. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our people strategy, culture, and operations in a growing and purpose-led organisation.
Please note, this is a home-based position in either Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane with regular monthly travel.

Your Impact
As Head of HR, you will be a key strategic partner to the Chief People Officer and Managing Director (Australia), responsible for:
- Strategic Leadership
: Co-develop and execute the people strategy aligned with CVS' vision and business goals. Collaborate with UK HR Leadership and Australian Regional Directors to ensure consistent and effective delivery. - Team Management
: Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary HR team including Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partnering, and Payroll, ensuring high-quality support across the employee lifecycle. - Culture & Engagement
: Champion CVS' values and behaviours, embedding a culture of coaching, inclusion, and continuous improvement. Drive initiatives that make CVS a great place to work. - Transformation & Change
: Lead key HR projects such as agile working, system implementations, and organisational development. Support acquisitions and onboarding to enhance employee experience. - Leadership Development
: Coach and mentor senior leaders, build high-performing teams, and support succession planning and talent development programmes. - Data-Driven Decision Making
: Use people data and metrics to inform strategy, track engagement, compliance, retention, and drive continuous improvement. - Compliance & Policy
: Provide expert guidance on employment law and HR best practices. Shape and embed policies that support a fair, inclusive, and high-performing workplace.
What you'll bring
We're looking for a confident, commercially minded HR leader who thrives in a fast-paced, values-driven environment. You'll have:
- Proven experience leading HR teams across Payroll, Talent Acquisition, and Business Partnering.
- Strong business acumen and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
- Deep knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and strategic HR planning.
- A track record of leading transformational change and delivering measurable impact.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior levels.
- Experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing leadership capability.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Passion for people, culture, and creating exceptional employee experiences.
