Design Coordinator
to join our team.

The Opportunity

As a Design Coordinator, you will support the Design Manager in managing the design and documentation process through the pre-construction phase. You'll play a critical role in coordinating consultants, tracking documentation, resolving design issues, and ensuring timely project delivery aligned with authority, client, and construction requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the coordination of design consultants and documentation from concept to construction.
  • Review design documents to identify and resolve issues, clashes, or discrepancies.
  • Track and maintain design registers, documentation schedules, and authority approvals.
  • Support the management of RFI processes and Safety in Design compliance.
  • Participate in design and subcontractor meetings, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure alignment and timely deliverables.

About You

  • Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Building Design, or related field.
  • 3–5 years' experience in architectural documentation or a design-related role.
  • Experience in commercial construction; prior Design Coordinator experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of NCC, Australian Standards, and authority processes.
  • Proficient in software such as MS Office, Bluebeam Revu, AutoCAD (Revit a plus).
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
