Salary:
$78,500 (pro rata) + superannuation (12%) and phone/internet expenses ($25 per month)
About the role
The Local & Independent News Association (LINA) is an industry association supporting hyperlocal and independent news publishers. This role ensures the smooth operation of LINA's systems and workflows, while providing practical support to staff, members and the Board.
The Services Administrator reports to the Executive Director and is responsible for:
· Coordinating administrative processes and documentation
· Supporting member services and onboarding
· Maintaining organisational systems and workflows
· Contributing to project delivery, governance and events
This role is central to LINA's effectiveness, ensuring members experience seamless support and the team has the systems needed to deliver on our strategic goals.
About the team
We are a small, agile team working in a flexible and collaborative environment. You will work closely with the Executive Director and collaborate with Board members, the Technical Manager, Digital Content & Systems Coordinator and external partners to deliver key projects. LINA receives additional support for bookkeeping, administration, and data reporting.

LINA members are locally owned and controlled digital news publishers, producing quality journalism by and for their communities.
About You
You are a systems thinker who enjoys helping others work efficiently. You're organised, detail-focused and confident using a range of digital tools. You thrive in a collaborative team and are motivated by supporting independent journalism.
You bring:
· Demonstrated experience in operational or administrative roles
· Proficiency with Google Workspace and experience with HubSpot (CRM), ClickUp (project management), Xero (finance), Stripe (payments), and WordPress (website management)
· Strong communication and problem-solving skills
· Ability to manage competing priorities and improve workflows
Key responsibilities
The Services Administrator will have primary oversight of administrative systems, as well as leading select key projects. Responsibilities include:

Systems & Administration
1.1 Manage operational systems and tools (ClickUp, HubSpot, Xero, Stripe, WordPress)
1.2 Maintain databases and ensure smooth integration of workflows
1.3 Track budgets and manage subscriptions/IT expenses
1.4 Support financial administration, including preparation of payment reports (Xero/Stripe)
1.5 Implement and track operational systems for project progress
1.6 Maintain organised digital document storage and schedules to improve workflows
1.7 Provide administrative support to other staff and contractors as needed
2.
Membership & Governance
2.1 Triage enquiries from member publishers on services and supports offered
2.2 Onboard new member publishers and support ongoing member needs
2.3 Maintain policies, procedures and internal manuals
2.4 Prepare Board and committee papers, agendas, minutes and follow-up actions
2.5 Chair the Risk Management Committee and ensure follow-up on actions and outcomes
3.
Project & Program Support
3.1 Coordinate small grant programs and track reporting requirements
3.2 Support delivery of LINA's annual conference (including travel)
3.3 Develop and maintain relevant member resources as required
3.4 Assist with team and Board meeting logistics
3.5 Contribute to broader member support and communications as required
The Services Administrator will support the implementation of LINA's strategic goals.
