About the Opportunity

Hatchit Studios is seeking an experienced
Team Lead – Senior Desktop Support Officer (APS6 equivalent)
to lead and manage a high-performing ICT Desktop Support Team within a fast-paced federal government environment.

This role requires strong leadership, mentoring, and technical expertise to ensure reliable ICT services are delivered to staff across multiple sites. You will work closely with ICT operations teams and stakeholders to drive service excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the Desktop Support Team, fostering a collaborative and customer-focused culture.
  • Provide advanced Level 2 ICT support for hardware, software, video conferencing, and peripheral devices.
  • Manage provisioning and maintenance of ICT equipment, ensuring accurate asset register records.
  • Collaborate with higher-level ICT teams and vendors to coordinate hardware repairs, upgrades, and warranty services.
  • Oversee BAU tasks, ICT incidents, and allocate team resources to meet SLAs.
  • Identify knowledge gaps and drive documentation strategies, including knowledge base articles.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of ICT processes and service delivery.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience
    leading and managing a technical support team
    , including coaching and mentoring.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to handle escalated or complex ICT issues.
  • Hands-on
    Level 2 ICT Support
    expertise: incident triage, equipment provisioning, and video conferencing systems.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement and building effective relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of ICT service delivery standards, incident management procedures, and quality assurance practices.
