Role : Team Lead Senior Desktop Support Officer Location : North Ryde, NSW (with potential for flexible or remote work arrangements)Contract Duration : Initial 6 months, with two possible 6-month extensions Security Clearance : Must be an Australian Citizen able to obtain Baseline clearance Work Hours : Maximum of 40 hours per week About the Role A Federal Government Agency is seeking a skilled and motivated Team Lead – Senior Desktop Support Officer to join their ICT Operations Team.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll oversee a team of Desktop Support Officers, ensuring high-quality technical support and service delivery across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of Desktop Support Officers Provide Level 2 ICT support for hardware, software, video conferencing, and peripheral devices Manage ICT equipment provisioning and asset register accuracy Collaborate with Level 3 teams and external vendors for escalations and upgrades Monitor team resources and ensure service level agreements are met Drive continuous improvement and maintain ICT knowledge base documentation About You You're an experienced technical leader with : Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset Proven experience in desktop support and incident management Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities A passion for mentoring and developing team members Strategic thinking and the ability to manage competing priorities Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are encouraged to apply.
