Technical Manager

In this dynamic and high-impact role, you will lead Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), and Technical Operations, driving compliance and continuous improvement. Your leadership, process optimisation, and risk management expertise will be key to enhancing technical operations while mentoring a high-performing team.

What's involved?

As Technical Manager, you will lead Quality, R&D, Operational Risk, and Process Innovation across the group. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leadership & Team Management: Inspire and guide a small, effective team, aligning efforts with company objectives and fostering a culture of excellence.

• Process Improvement & Technical Support: Champion continuous improvement initiatives to boost operational efficiency and support manufacturing processes for optimal performance and product quality.

• Quality, Food Safety & Compliance: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of food safety systems, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, including SQF Practitioner responsibilities.

• Audits & Statutory Compliance: Lead internal and external audits, ensuring full adherence to quality and safety standards.

• Collaboration & Innovation: Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline operations, optimise material flow, and implement new technologies that enhance production capabilities.

About You:

You are an experienced professional in Quality, Food Safety, and Compliance within FMCG manufacturing, ideally in the food, beverage or pharmaceutical sectors. You hold qualifications in Food Science, or a related field, and bring a strong background in process optimisation and operational efficiency.

Your success is driven by a strategic mindset and hands-on leadership style, complemented by excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. You are well-versed in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and project management, and your approach to decision-making is grounded in data and insight.
