The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to lead our Operations Division. This role is responsible for driving performance across service and project operations, managing financial outcomes, and ensuring client satisfaction, while also mentoring and developing our people.
The Operations Manager will work closely with our Leadership Team to deliver on business strategy, manage profitability, and oversee compliance with safety, quality, and legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead, manage and develop the Operations Division, including service and project delivery teams.
• Have input on financial performance, including revenue, profitability, cash flow, and work-in-progress.
• Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and performance.
• Support and guide Project Managers in delivering projects successfully, on time, within scope, and on budget.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring exceptional service and proactive solutions.
• Mentor and performance-manage staff, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and teamwork.
• Ensure compliance with OH&S, environmental, commercial, and legal standards.
• Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
• Advanced trade qualifications or associate diploma (electrical discipline preferred).
• Current Queensland workers' electrical licence and / or electrical contractors licence
• Proven project management experience in electrical/industrial environments.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, revenue, and margins.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to inspire, mentor, and develop teams with an optimistic approach.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong client focus and ability to identify business development opportunities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
• Current driver's licence and ability to work at client and company sites as required.
