Operations Manager, Power On Australia

Location: Salisbury, QLD

Type: Full-time, On-site

Power On Australia designs and delivers innovative, reliable power quality and management solutions that keep critical industries running, from mining to construction and healthcare. We're expanding fast and need an experienced Operations Manager to help drive efficiency, team performance, and growth across the business.

This is a newly created role that sits at the centre of our operations. You'll lead day-to-day delivery, oversee workflow across engineering, projects, and support teams, and ensure every customer experience reflects our commitment to excellence.

What You'll Do

  • Manage all operational activities across engineering, projects, service, and administration to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team, setting clear priorities, KPIs, and accountability standards.
  • Oversee production scheduling, project milestones, stock control, and service coordination to maintain operational flow.
  • Assist with forecasting materials and supplier needs to keep inventory levels and order timelines on track.
  • Partner with management on strategic planning, budgeting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain business systems, including JCurve (ERP), supplier portals, and customer compliance platforms.
  • Oversee WHS, quality, and compliance systems to ensure zero-defect, zero-harm performance.
  • Coordinate reporting and operational metrics.
  • Ensure all internal processes, policies, and standards (quality, safety, security, privacy) are current and applied consistently.
  • Build strong relationships with key suppliers, customers, and contractors to enhance performance and growth.

About You

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in operations, production, or business management, ideally within engineering, electrical, or technical services industries.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and deliver measurable performance improvements.
  • Strong grasp of workflow systems, inventory management, and project delivery.
  • Commercially astute, data-driven, and confident in budgeting, reporting, and process optimisation.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire accountability and foster a culture of excellence.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and JCurve (or similar ERP systems).
  • Tertiary qualifications in business or management are desirable but not essential.
