About the role

Huddle Therapy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team in Newcastle, NSW. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities by providing personalised care and support. This is a casual position, offering flexibility to fit around your lifestyle.

What you'll be doing

  • Facilitating social, recreational, and community engagement activities to promote independence and well-being
  • Providing emotional support and advocating for participants' needs
  • Documenting client progress and maintaining accurate records
  • Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and legislative requirements
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care

What we're looking for

  • A Certificate III or IV in Individual Support or equivalent qualification (preferred, not mandatory)
  • Relevant experience in the disability
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Current First Aid certificate and National Police Check
