Support Worker Opportunity – Altitude Support Services

About the Role

This casual position involves providing community access and personalised support to individuals with disabilities across the Hunter Region. The successful candidate will start immediately. The role requires flexibility, including availability for after-school support, potential overnight shifts, and coverage as needed. A reliable vehicle is essential, as the work involves travel within the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to clients.
  • Build trust and rapport with clients to increase regular hours.
  • Communicate politely, promptly, and professionally with clients, families, and other professionals.
  • Collaborate with families and professionals involved in client care, taking direction as needed.
  • Support clients' capacity building and community participation (e.g., holidays, therapy, social groups).
  • Continuously seek ways to enhance the quality of support provided.
  • Assist with personal care tasks as required.
  • Demonstrate reliability and a genuine commitment to improving clients' lives.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission Worker Orientation Module.
  • Current National Police Check.
  • Working with Children Check.
  • Relevant qualifications or experience in the disability support industry.
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Valid driver's licence.

You are flexible, available 7 days per week, and eager to grow your hours.
