About the Role
As an Outbound Sales Development Representative (SDR) at HorizonX, you will be at the forefront of our growth engine. Your primary focus will be to proactively identify and engage potential clients through strategic outbound initiatives. You will play a crucial role in generating high-quality leads and building a strong pipeline for our sales team. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a driven individual looking to launch a career in technology sales.
Your Responsibilities
- Outbound Prospecting: Conduct extensive outbound research to identify target accounts and decision-makers. Utilise various tools and platforms to gather relevant information.
- Cold Outreach: Execute outbound campaigns via phone, email, and LinkedIn to initiate conversations with potential clients. Craft personalised messages that resonate with their specific needs and challenges.
- Lead Qualification: Qualify leads based on predefined criteria, ensuring they align with HorizonX's target audience and service offerings.
- Appointment Setting: Schedule meetings and demos between qualified leads and our Account Executives.
- CRM Management: Accurately and diligently record all prospect interactions and data in our CRM system (e.g., Salesforce).
- Market Research: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in the Cloud, Data, and AI space.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop and refine outbound strategies and campaigns.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor and track your daily, weekly, and monthly outbound activity and results against set targets.
Your Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in outbound sales or a strong desire to build a career in outbound sales.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
- Strong research and analytical abilities, with the capacity to identify and qualify leads effectively.
- Comfortable making cold calls and engaging with prospects over the phone and via email.
- A self-starter with a proactive mindset and a strong sense of urgency.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g. Hubspot/Pipedrive) is highly desirable.
- A genuine interest in Cloud, Data, and AI technologies.
- Knowledge of the IT professional services industry is a plus.
