ABOUT THE ROLE

Farm Harvest Direct is expanding. We're seeking a hands‑on Chef to lead our Food Processing Kitchen and support our e‑commerce food operations. You'll manage end‑to‑end kitchen production, uphold HACCP‑level food safety, and work with the business owner to scale weekly deliveries across Central North Victoria.

WHAT WE OFFER

· Base salary + 11.5% superannuation.

· Quarterly performance bonus linked to net turnover

· Permanent full‑time (38 hrs/week) with flexibility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Manage the Food Processing Kitchen end‑to‑end: production planning, scaling, ingredient supply, quality, hygiene and shelf‑life.

· Implement and maintain a simple Quality Management System (SOPs, KPIs, verification/records); ensure HACCP‑level food safety.

· Own documentation and reporting: production records, stock and ordering, incident reporting, KPI analysis.

· Partner with Sales & Logistics to support promotions and scale weekly deliveries over a 3 to 5 year horizon.

· Maintain licences/permits relevant to food processing; coordinate contractors as required.

· Lead, train and supervise staff; uphold OH&S and food safety standards.

ABOUT YOU

· Qualified chef with experience in production or central kitchen environments.

· Strong understanding of food safety (HACCP) and quality systems; comfortable creating and following SOPs/KPIs.

· Commercial mindset—align production to demand, minimise waste, and manage cost of goods.

· Organised, hands‑on leader who can supervise, coach and grow a small team.

· Tech‑comfortable with basic records, inventory and reporting tools; willing to adopt QMS documentation.
