Pho Nung is one of Melbourne's favourite spots for authentic Vietnamese cuisine, proudly operated by MIN HU PTY LTD. We are passionate about bringing the flavours of Vietnam to the heart of Melbourne and are looking for a dedicated Cook to join our busy kitchen team.

Job description: We are looking for a qualified and experienced cook to join our business on a full-time basis(38 hours/week). Salary on offer is $75,000-$80,000 plus super, depending on experience.

You will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring that all food is of excellent quality and served in a timely manner. Planning the menu, keeping in mind budget, and availability of seasonal ingredients. Overseeing all kitchen operations. Coordinating kitchen staff and assisting them as required. Training staff to prepare and cook all the menu items. Taking stock of ingredients and equipment and placing orders to replenish stock. Enforcing safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen. Creating new recipes to keep the menu fresh. Keeping up to date with industry trends. Receiving feedback and making improvements where necessary.

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Cook in a similar hospitality environment Ability to speak Vietnamese Strong knowledge of Vietnamese or Asian cuisine preferred. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks during peak hours. Good teamwork and communication skills. Attention to detail, with pride in presentation and quality. Understanding of food hygiene, safety, and kitchen operations.
