Information Technology Engineer

Sydney

On-site, 5 days a week

Salary: $75k – $88k + Super (depending on experience)

We are a leading independent College with a strong commitment to digital learning, innovation, and technology-driven education. Our IT team plays a vital role in supporting staff and students with reliable systems, devices, and platforms that underpin teaching and learning. We are now seeking an ICT Support Officer to provide frontline support, assist with system management, and contribute to the delivery of digital initiatives across the College.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING…

As the IT Engineer, you will be the first point of contact for IT-related issues across the College community. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering Level 1–2 ICT troubleshooting and helpdesk support to staff and students
  • Logging, prioritising, and managing phone, email, and web-based queries through the Service Desk system
  • Escalating unresolved issues to senior IT staff when required
  • Assisting with device and software set-up for staff and students
  • Providing training and guidance on digital platforms and learning resources
  • Monitoring, updating, and maintaining College systems to ensure uptime, security, and performance reliability
  • Supporting College-wide ICT projects and contributing to process improvements

WE NEED YOU TO HAVE…

  • Proficiency across a range of ICT technologies and digital platforms
  • Solid troubleshooting skills with a customer-focused approach
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team

IT'S NICE TO HAVE…

  • Experience with
    Mac OS
    and
    Windows OS
    environments
  • Knowledge of
    Google Workspace (GSuite)
    and
    Microsoft 365
  • Exposure to
    School Management Systems
    (Canvas, TASS, Synergetic etc.)
  • Familiarity with
    JAMF Pro
    and
    Apple School Manager
  • Understanding of
    cybersecurity concepts
    and SOE deployment methods
  • Previous experience working in an
    education or school environment
