Job Description
Now, about this role…
This role is about designing and governing the architecture of Judo's enterprise data platform, Jarvis, to enable scalable, secure and high performing data solutions. We are cloud-native, move fast and experiment often. That said, we believe that trust in data is a core pillar of the Bank's data driven culture and embed data governance through everything that we deliver.

As the data architect you will work closely with data engineering, analytics and business teams to define reusable patterns and ensure our data ecosystem supports both analytical and operational use cases.

You will work hand-in-hand with other technology teams to ensure that data solutions align with Judo's broader technology architecture standards and integrate seamlessly into the bank's digital ecosystem.

• Enabling data-driven experiences: Building standardised and repeatable patterns that support analytics, reporting and operational integrations.

We are looking for someone who brings deep technical expertise, strategic thinking and a collaborative mindset. You will thrive here if you enjoy solving complex problems, influencing across teams and building scalable solutions that make a real-world impact.

The skills you've picked up along the way:

• Cloud architecture expertise: Proven experience designing data solutions in Azure, including ADLS, Databricks and Data Factory.
• Data modelling mastery: Strong knowledge of dimensional and data vault modelling.
• Snowflake proficiency: Experience configuring, developing and optimising Snowflake environments.
• Governance mindset: Familiarity with data governance tooling such as Alation and Ataccama and metadata management practices more broadly.
• Programming proficiency: Strong SQL skills, with working knowledge of Python or similar.
• CI/CD and DevOps: Experience with version control, deployment pipelines, (data) test automation and infrastructure-as-code.
• Stakeholder engagement: Ability to lead workshops, document decisions and influence across technical and business domains.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Experience working with enterprise architects, solution designers and platform teams to ensure alignment and integration.

Your life pre-Judo:

• You will have 10+ years of industry experience, including deep data platform design expertise.
• You are skilled at working with product owners to refine scope, support requirements definition, lead technical design and support delivery.
• You are/were in a role where you have had strong exposure to both Technical and Functional tracks of data solutions, in which you care deeply about the customers outcomes.
• Extensive experience working in agile environments with multidisciplinary teams.
• Extensive experience working with data platform and data engineering teams.
• Stakeholder management and collaboration have been a major part of your previous roles.

• These would be a plus:

• Work experience in financial service integration ecosystems.

• Work on large data platform projects in the past.
• Ownership or leadership roles in data teams or projects.
