We are currently seeking applications for a Project Manager to join the Office of the Chief Information Officer at the Department of Treasury and Finance ongoing.
Remuneration: ASO7 – Salary Range ($108,109 - $116,864 p.a.)
About the opportunity:
The Project Manager is responsible for researching, developing and implementing ICT/Cyber Security/Digital Projects. This includes the effective use of project methodologies to ensure the realisation of the project benefits and well-developed communication planning. To ensure work is relevant and impactful, the Project Manager is required to engage across the Office of the Chief Information Officer, industry and research sectors and liaise with senior agency stakeholders.
About you
To be successful you will:
- Lead, monitor and report on project activities, including identifying and assessing risks and opportunities, measuring and tracking tasks to ensure projects and activities align with departmental strategy and initiatives.
- Lead, manage and deliver the implementation of the project, including developing proposals, methodology and schedules for the program of work, and delivering recommendations, reporting and strategies to leadership and key stakeholders.
- Manage the activities of the project through effective planning, coordination and stakeholder management.
- Foster strategic partnerships, encouraging a culture of collaboration and providing expert consultancy advice for the effective delivery of a range ICT-related projects.
- Work collaboratively with a range of customers and internal/external stakeholders to implement innovative ICT projects and initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of models of government business and influencing planning and change processes within government to ensure strategies are implemented in accordance with the government's strategic intentions.
- Provide specialist advice and active management of projects, including planning, evaluating, implementing, reviewing, promoting and delivering projects.
- Participate in the establishment of comprehensive consultative processes with stakeholders and foster collaboration to develop strategic directions consistent with the government's approach to ICT.
- Develop project briefs, costs, outputs, outcomes, budget bids, schedules, business cases and project proposals for ICT-related projects.
- Participate in effective liaison and involvement of government agencies and industry including involvement in forums, alliances, coalitions, partnerships and other groups and promoting the values and imperatives of taking a long term across government approach.
