The Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-driven HSE Officer to join our team. Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will play a key role in driving a strong safety culture across project sites and offices, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, client standards, and PSD Energy's HSE management systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and risk management strategies.
- Conduct site inspections, safety audits, and incident investigations.
- Provide coaching and support to supervisors, managers, and workers on HSE matters.
- Lead toolbox talks, inductions, and training to promote a positive safety culture.
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, ISO standards (ISO 45001 & ISO 14001), and client-specific requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to HSE reporting, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety (minimum).
- 3+ years' experience in a similar HSE role, ideally within construction, renewables, or heavy industry.
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and incident investigation processes.
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HSE reporting systems.
- Valid Construction White Card and driver's licence.
