THE ROLE

  • Partner with operational leads, the wider safety community at Winslow and our client to drive and deliver safety objectives and performance.
  • Implementation of Winslow's safety policies and systems.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory obligations and mitigating risk.
  • Conducting safety audits.
  • Performance monitoring and data analysis.
  • Guidance on subcontractor management.
  • Providing continual support and coaching.

ABOUT YOU

  • Certificate IV or higher qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Prior safety experience gained within a project environment, preferably civil construction
  • Ability to effect change to achieve safety targets over a sustained period with a subcontractor and employee workforce.
  • Possess knowledge and ability to evaluate and implement safety policies and procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge of safety, quality and environmental management systems standards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills combined with the ability to influence at various business levels.
  • Strong computer and data analysis skills that extend to report collation and presentation.
  • Ability to think strategically, considering both client and local objectives/drivers.
  • Ability to conduct audits; investigations of safety issues and assist in developing improvement plans based on findings.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop safety improvement plans to drive and promote safety awareness programs.
  • Understanding of a safety philosophy and previous experience with establishing and implementing these systems in a project environment.
