About the Role:
Mossop Construction + Interiors is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager to lead our safety and environmental initiatives across diverse and high-profile projects.
Reporting to the Director of Construction, you will play a key role in fostering a safe, compliant and sustainable work environment. This role is ideal for a proactive leader who thrives on collaboration and wants to make a tangible impact on safety culture and outcomes.
Duties include:
- Develop, implement and continuously improve HSE systems, policies and procedures.
- Provide expert advice and support to project teams across tender, design, and delivery phases.
- Lead safety training, site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with WHS legislation and company objectives.
- Manage incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions.
- Represent Mossop at industry forums and regulatory audits.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental management.
About You:
- Tertiary qualifications in Health, Safety & Environment (or related field).
- Minimum 5 years' HSE management experience in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, codes of practice and industry standards.
- Proven leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive approach with the ability to influence positive safety behaviours.
Role Requirements:
- National Police Clearance (or willing to obtain)
- White Card
- First Aid Certification (desirable)
- Working with Children 9or willing to obtain)
- Current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol test
As our people are required to attend government, health and education facilities and construction sites, it is a condition of employment for this role, that the ability to pass a pre-employment medical, background police check and working with children clearance is adhered to.
