Your New Role:

Manitou Australia is seeking a dedicated Spare Parts Interpreter to join our team. This role is a key link in supporting our dealer network and fleet/key accounts teams, ensuring smooth service delivery and excellent client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for parts inquiries from dealers, fleet/key accounts, and internal teams.
  • Identify and interpret parts using electronic catalogs (myEdoc), service manuals, and other resources.
  • Prepare accurate quotes, process sales orders, and handle invoicing.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering, receiving, dispatching, and stocktaking of attachments.
  • Provide basic technical support and advice regarding parts applications.
  • Liaise with suppliers to source parts and ensure timely delivery.
  • Support dealers and internal teams in locating and understanding load charts for Manitou models.
  • Assist with dealer training on parts identification systems, online ordering, and new product updates.
  • Manage dealer claims and returns, including inspections, credit notes, and invoicing support.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders and shipping agents regarding inbound parts.

Skills & Experience

  • Relevant trade qualification in mechanics or related field (advantageous).
  • Current forklift licence (highly desirable).
  • Proven experience as a Parts Interpreter, preferably in heavy equipment, agricultural machinery, or automotive industries.
  • Strong technical understanding of mechanical concepts related to heavy machinery.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in computer systems, including electronic parts catalogs and inventory management software.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
