The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme for health professionals. Our purpose is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners with the skills, qualifications and knowledge to provide safe care are registered.
The Regulatory Coordinator – Compliance plays a key leadership role, coordinating and supporting a team of Compliance Support Officers who provide high-quality administrative support to the Compliance function. The role oversees day-to-day operations and drives consistency, accuracy and efficiency across a busy, high-volume national team.
Supporting compliance teams across multiple locations and working in line with Ahpra's virtual team principles, this role promotes collaboration, proactive communication and staff wellbeing through strong leadership and engagement.
This is a full time, ongoing opportunity based in our Melbourne or Brisbane office.
In this role you will:
- Motivate, support and coordinate a team of Compliance Support Officers across multiple Ahpra locations.
- Manage workload distribution and ensure high standards of accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide adaptable leadership to support staff wellbeing and team performance.
- Contribute to the development and review of policies, procedures and processes to improve operational efficiency.
About you:
You are a proactive and organised leader who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. You bring strong coordination and people management skills and can balance competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of work.
You'll also bring:
- A Diploma or Degree in Business Administration (or equivalent experience).
- Experience supervising or coordinating a team in a complex, high-volume environment.
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills with a strong eye for detail.
- Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and digital systems.
- A learning mindset, resilience, and ability to work independently.
