THE TEAM

Venues by Only is a family owned and operated business with an inherent passion for the hospitality industry. From the picturesque Micawber Tavern, nestled in the lush Dandenong ranges to the array of patrons tucking into weekday worker's lunches at Hotel Collingwood, the legacy of Venues by Only is vast, stretching across Melbourne. Since our inception in 2011, we have grown and nourished more than 39 venues, all of which has been made possible thanks to our incredible team of over 250 hospitality professionals.

We believe that it is both people and place which make up the bones of good hospitality and for this reason we take great pride in both our staff and our venues, ensuring that the guest experience is always at the forefront of our ethos. Often inspired by the restaurants and bars of New York and Downtown LA, each Venue by Only location is an aesthetic collision of culinary creativity, live music, sport and dj performances. THE GIG

The Bar Manager is paramount in moulding the guest experience and steering the team to success. Working alongside and reporting directly to the Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Building, maintaining and perpetuating a strong team culture
  • Overseeing the daily operations of the bar from end to end
  • Contributing creatively to cocktail program and wine-menu development and pairings
  • Ensuring team is equipped to deliver flawless products and maintain high standards

We are seeking hospitality professionals to join the elite teams at Hobsons Bay Hotel in beautiful Williamstown, and The Beehive Hotel in Hawthorn. Key qualities that we look for include:

  • Confident people management skills with the ability and desire to encourage positive team dynamics and foster exceptional guest engagement
  • Proven extensive experience in similar high-calibre venue with demonstrated credentials in team leadership
  • Sweepingly confident and thorough beverage knowledge, with a focus on both cocktails and culinary wine pairings
