We are one of the Dandenongs most popular attractions, situated on top of Mount Dandenong, with fantastic city and mountain views. A magnificent English style garden, beer garden, maze and function rooms; our work environment is envied by all around us.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate bistro and function staff to join the team during an exciting period of growth. We are looking for casual or part-time experienced waitstaff, baristas, bar or function staff to join our wonderful team of 3 managers, 6 supervisors and over 70 staff.

At least 12 monthd previous experience in a similar role is preferred, along with a strong background in hospitality however if you are under 19, full training can be given and experience is not required. SkyHigh restaurant is very busy and at times a team of up to 20 staff are in operation so it is a great opportunity to advance your skills. The job requires you to work some evenings and most weekends.

About The Role:

- You will assist / support the supervisor with the smooth running of the cafe, bistro, bar and events.
- Taking customer orders in the evening restaurant, running food, clearing tables, seating customers.
- Preparing drinks at the bar including cocktails.
- Making coffees, milkshakes and smoothies for both dine in customers and takeaway.
- Serving our loyal customers and ensuring the highest levels of customer service.
- Taking bistro orders at the till and tickets for our SkyHigh Maze.
- Phone sales - Ensuring bookings are taken promptly and full communication is given to customers and supervisors.
- Work closely with the chefs and bistro supervisors to ensure service is quick and customers are happy

About You:

- You are not afraid to push for improved service and train with an effective team
- You are confident to learn quickly and master service in multiple areas
- An understanding of a high volume cafe or big function venue would be beneficial. You will have worked in either a catering company, restaurant group, venue or hotel previously
- You will have an Australian Driver's License
- You are proficient with till systems, docket writing and prior exposure to a restaurant booking systems would be an advantage
- You love working in a friendly team environment
- You have excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- You will have a willingness to multitask
- You have an eye for detail and an appreciation of great food and service
- You are hardworking and have a positive, enthusiastic attitude

Pay: $30.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 35 per week
