Begonia State School is currently seeking to fill a temporary, part-time Teacher Aide position.

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual with a passion for working with children from Kindy to Year 6.

Prior experience is ideal but not essential, as training will be provided to the successful applicant.

This position is being offered in a Temporary Part-Time capacity (0.29FTE), 22 hours per fortnight.

About the Role

This temporary, part-time Teacher Aide position offers an exciting opportunity to support teachers and students in delivering high-quality education. The role involves assisting with classroom activities, preparing learning materials, and supporting students' individual needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting teachers and students with classroom activities, sporting events, and school excursions.
  • Supporting the preparation, organisation, and management of teaching materials and resources.
  • Providing assistance to students with special needs, including personal care and learning support.
  • Maintaining records and anecdotal notes to support student development reviews.
  • Contributing to the welfare, health, and safety of students, including administering first aid (training provided if required).

This role would suit a motivated and reliable individual who enjoys working with children and thrives in a collaborative team environment.
