he Glennie School, located in Toowoomba, is a leading kindergarten to year 12 Anglican girls’ day and boarding school. Established in 1908, the School has a proud reputation for providing a well-rounded education that enables students to learn, flourish and be happy in all aspects of their lives.

We are currently seeking a friendly, energetic, and professional person to provide classroom and learning support assistance and aid teachers in the care and delivery of the learning program for students in our Junior Years.

This is a full-time - term time position.

**Description**

We are seeking a reliable individual, with prior Teacher Aide experience to:

- Support the teacher/s in facilitating lessons and activities, including preparation;
- Work with students individually or in small groups on activities planned under the supervision of a teacher;
- Assist students to comply with teacher instruction;
- Prepare equipment and materials specific to the student and classroom needs in accordance with teacher’s direction;
- Observe students and draw attention of the teacher to the students when necessary;
- Provide assistance during class activities, as required, to ensure maximum participation in programs; and
- Develop an effective, positive relationship with all students in the class.
- Additional responsibilities for Learning Support:
Implement modifications to student work as set/directed by a teacher; and
Implement support programs (literacy and numeracy) under the direction of the teacher.

**Applicants Must**
- Be able to demonstrate a commitment consistent with the School's Anglican Ethos;
- Have or be willing to obtain a ‘Working with Children Blue Card’ prior to commencement;
- Have current first aid certificate with CPR or willing to obtain;
- Have phenomenal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team; and
- Have a friendly demeanour

**Salary**: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
