Chut & Co is a vibrant café located in Mermaid Plaza, Mermaid Beach. Since opening in 2023, we've become a local favourite for specialty coffee, fresh breakfasts, and wholesome lunches. Our focus is simple: great coffee, delicious food, and a welcoming space for our community.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced barista to join our friendly team. If you're passionate about coffee, love working in a fast-paced café environment, and enjoy delivering great service with a smile, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare and serve high-quality espresso coffee and other beverages.
  • Provide warm, attentive, and efficient service to our customers.
  • Assist with general café duties including food service and maintaining a clean workspace.
  • Work collaboratively with our small, friendly team.

About You

  • Barista experience essential – you know your way around an espresso machine and can make consistent, quality coffee under pressure.
  • A genuine passion for coffee and hospitality.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and available to work Friday to Monday (25–30 hours across 4 days).
