Payroll Officer – Local Council (Coburg)
3-Month Contract | $55 p/h + Super
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join a local council based in Coburg for a 3-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented payroll professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys delivering accurate and timely payroll services.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-end payroll processing for council employees.
- Ensure compliance with relevant awards, agreements, and legislation.
- Reconcile payroll and maintain accurate employee records.
- Provide payroll reporting and respond to employee queries in a timely manner.
- Assist with process improvements and system efficiency where required.
About You:
- Must have experience using iChris/Chris21 payroll systems.
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, superannuation, and entitlements.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Rate: $55 per hour + superannuation.
- Contract: 3 months
- Location: Coburg – easily accessible by public transport and local amenities.
