The role

Are you passionate about building strong community connections and delivering high-quality communications? We're looking for a dynamic Community Relations Coordinator to join our team on a part-time basis and help strengthen engagement across our school community.

As the Community Relations Coordinator, you'll play a key role in supporting the Community Relations team through effective administration and communications. You'll manage multiple projects, coordinate content pipelines and contribute to initiatives that enhance school engagement. This is a hands-on role that requires a proactive mindset, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for community building.

The role requires 22.5 hours per week, and the exact days of work required will be negotiated with the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Community Relations inbox, triaging inquiries and ensuring timely responses.
  • Maintain and update the Community Relations workflow calendar of major events and activities each term.
  • Coordinate the content pipeline for school communications, gathering event details and news for communications, marketing and PR purposes and keeping a working communications schedule.
  • Coordinate, compile, and distribute the School's fortnightly Bulletin newsletter, ensuring accuracy and relevance for families.
  • Assist in drafting and distributing school communications, including invitations, event notices, and announcements.

About You

  • Experience in a similar role within a K-12 educational environment is highly desired.
  • Tertiary qualification in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field is highly desired.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.

  • Confidence using digital tools and systems to manage content and distribute communications.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Hold current Working with Children Check.
  • Hold a current police clearance, dated within the last 6 months.
  • Proof of Right to Work in Australia.
  • Respect the values, traditions and Anglican ethos of the School.
