About the Employer

We are assisting a national energy-transition program focused on accelerating investment in renewable and clean energy generation across Australia. The program underpins the delivery of new projects such as large-scale solar, wind, and battery storage—to strengthen grid reliability and support the country's renewable-electricity targets.

You'll be joining a collaborative commercial team responsible for contract delivery and governance across a portfolio of large-scale energy projects. The environment is dynamic and outcome-driven, balancing public-sector accountability with commercial execution at national scale.

Role Overview

We're recruiting
multiple Commercial Contract Managers
(from Analyst to Director equivalent) to help oversee delivery of high-value underwriting and capacity contracts supporting renewable-energy projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee deployment of renewable-energy projects through contract management—ensuring development milestones and social-licence obligations are met.
  • Support the delivery portfolio by identifying and resolving delivery barriers, and feeding insights into broader policy and market processes.
  • Manage relationships with project operators, delivery partners and advisers to proactively address risks and opportunities.
  • Investigate and document the resolution of complex contractual or commercial issues, providing clear recommendations to senior decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including market bodies, government agencies, consumer representatives and legal/commercial advisers.
  • Strengthen governance and compliance through procedures, delegations and assurance frameworks.
  • Lead or mentor contract-management staff, fostering capability and high-performance culture.

Ideal Background

We are seeking candidates with
~2–15 years' experience
in one or more of the following areas:

  • Renewable-energy or infrastructure delivery, with a focus on
    contract management of high-value or complex projects
    .
  • Commercial negotiations, risk management and financial structuring.
  • Knowledge of renewable-energy project development and associated commercial agreements (e.g. PPAs, grid-connection contracts).
  • Familiarity with energy-market and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience in either public-sector contract administration or private-sector infrastructure delivery will be highly regarded.
