Job Description
The Commercial Manager's responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead negotiations with counter-parties to achieve the agreed objectives with a key focus on strategic relationships and high value revenue or spend, manage and review contracts and make recommendations regarding commercial viability.
  • Draft contracts and contract schedules to align with desired outcomes, working with Legal team.
  • Collaborate with financial analysts to develop appropriate financial models to represent deal outcomes.
  • Work with business owners and financial analysts to draft papers for the executive team setting out options and recommendations.
  • Support the development of strategy and tactics to ensure the successful execution, management and delivery of customer and supplier arrangements.
  • Deciding on and assisting in executing cost, revenue strategies
  • Work with the various heads of delivery, business units, and management to understand future demand requirements to determine and agree on long-term engagement strategies.
  • Influence internal stakeholders to ensure the necessary commercial practices are agreed before progressing.
  • Maintain consistent standards for contract operations that meet or exceed expectations.
  • Responsible for contract renewals, extensions and variations that are deemed to be medium and high risk and value.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across all levels of the business.
  • Support the setting of financial targets and budget development and monitoring
  • Budgeting, forecasting and analysis (projects as required by GM and CFO).

The Successful Applicant
A Successful Commercial Manager Should Have

  • A strong background in accounting and finance
  • Experience in a similar Commercial Manager role
  • Exposure to the energy or renewable space favourable
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting tools.
  • Proven ability to manage contracts and negotiate effectively.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
