We are Australia's leading distributor of McElroy poly welding equipment and OEM parts, have Australia's largest McElroy rental fleet, mechanical and electrical workshops in QLD and WA, Engineering department and HDPE Fabrication department.
Your New Role:
You will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day business operations by managing administrative tasks, overseeing inventory, coordinating procurement, and supporting sales activities. This role bridges internal operations with customer-facing functions, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and excellent service delivery.
Your Work will include:
Sales Support
- Assist in generating leads, processing orders, and following up with clients.
- Prepare sales quotations, proposals, and presentations.
- Collaborate with the sales team to meet customer needs and achieve targets.
Inventory Management
- Monitor stock levels and track product movement.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Implement inventory control systems to reduce waste and optimize storage.
Procurement
- Source and evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, and reliability.
- Prepare purchase orders and negotiate favorable terms.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and maintain supplier relationships.
Administration
- Maintain records, reports, and documentation for operational efficiency.
- Manage correspondence, schedules, and office supplies.
- Support management with reporting and compliance tasks.
Skills and Experience Required:
- 2+ years of experience in administration, procurement, inventory, or sales support.
- Familiarity with sales processes and job management.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Knowledge of procurement practices and inventory control systems.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Strong MS Office skills with the ability to confidently navigate business systems.
- A keen interest in AI and emerging technologies, paired with strong problem-solving skills to identify solutions and improve administrative processes, is highly regarded.
