Garcon is seeking 2 x full time Western Cooks for an immediate start at our NSW locations of Garcon Lane Cove, Garcon Tramshed, and Cross Eatery Sydney CBD NSW.

An ideal candidate should be professionally qualified and/or experienced in a busy environment and is capable of working under pressure. You must possess either a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or have a minimum of 3 years of work experience as a Cook. Reporting will be to the Head Chef, or as directed.

The job is open to Australian Citizens, Permanent Residents, and overseas professionals. Salary offered is $74,000 to $78,000 plus superannuation

Duties and responsibilities for the role:

· Food preparation and dish creations as per the menu.

· Prepare diet specific food items and customised orders.

· Ensure food presentation and plating meets quality benchmarks.

· Estimate of food and labour costs within the kitchen operations.

· Actively take part in deciding weekly specials and their market prices.

· Recruit and hire staff, including junior cooks and other kitchen workers.

· Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in food preparation.

· Check the quantity and quality of received products and inventory.

· Monitor sanitation and hygiene practices, and food regulations of the kitchen workers.

· Receive and implement customer feedback and suggestions where required.

· Assist management in budgeting, negotiating prices and kitchen purchases.

· Contribute to planning of special events, parties, and banquets.

Pay: $50,887.53 – $78,559.67 per year
