M2H GROUP PTY LTD is looking for an experienced and qualified Cook to join our culinary team and help shape our new food catering business.

Kajiken is an authentic Japanese handmade ramen restaurant with a global reputation for its signature Abura Soba (soupless oil ramen). The very first Kajiken was founded in Nagoya's Showa district and since then, the brand has expanded worldwide, bringing a unique ramen experience to diners everywhere.

As a cook at Kajiken Sydney, you will play an essential role in delivering the authentic taste and warm experience that our brand is known for. Your responsibilities will include:

· Passion for food and growth – Demonstrate genuine enthusiasm for Japanese cuisine, with a strong commitment to learning, developing skills, and progressing within our kitchen team.

· Ingredient preparation and quality checks – Inspect and handle food items with care to ensure freshness and quality, while preparing all necessary ingredients and setting up cooking equipment for daily operations.

· Cooking with precision – Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, cooking and assembling dishes according to our recipes and presentation standards.

· Crafting authentic dishes – Prepare and serve our signature Abura Soba and other Japanese specialties, while also adapting meals to meet special dietary requirements when necessary.

· Food safety and hygiene – Uphold our high standards of cleanliness by maintaining food preparation areas, equipment, and storage in line with health, hygiene, and safety regulations.

· Team collaboration – Work closely with fellow kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth service and a seamless dining experience for our guests.

· Creativity and innovation – Bring fresh ideas to the table, contributing to menu development and helping us maintain an exciting, modern approach to traditional Japanese flavors.

· Communication and teamwork – Display excellent communication skills, reliability, and a team-first attitude, ensuring that every shift is efficient and enjoyable for both staff and customers.

As a qualified candidate, we hope you:

· Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a cook

· Drive, personality creative flair and a love of food

· Ability to maintain a continual high standard of food quality and presentation

· Strong adherence to food standards, operating procedures and regulatory guidelines

· Motivated and hard working

· Passion for the restaurant and a commitment to providing an exceptional customer experience
