About Coolendel

Nestled on 130 acres of pristine bushland and wrapped by 3km of the Shoalhaven River, Coolendel is a much-loved camping and nature retreat just 3 hours south of Sydney and 30 minutes west of Nowra.

We welcome families, school groups, and festivals with 10 spacious camping areas, cabins, and glamping tents. Guests swim in the river, kayak, fish, hike, and relax by the campfire while wombats wander by. Our facilities include hot showers, clean amenities, rubbish disposal and a well-stocked camp shop.

This is an opportunity to lead a thriving ecotourism business while living in a breathtaking riverside location.


The Role

As Camp Manager, your role will be diverse and hands-on. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing bookings (phone, email, online, and face-to-face)
  • Guest check-in, safety briefings & delivering excellent customer service
  • Retail sales in the camp shop
  • Supervising and training staff for housekeeping, amenities, and groundskeeping
  • Coordinating external trades for maintenance & repairs
  • Daily reporting to the owners on operations and business goals
  • Managing stock orders and supplier relationships
  • Monitoring property utilities (water, power, gas, etc.)
  • Problem solving and resolving guest issues with professionalism

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who is:

  • Experienced in tourism or hospitality management (qualification preferred)
  • Skilled in small-team leadership and emotionally intelligent in management style
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and disciplined with reporting protocols
  • Passionate about customer service and business outcomes
  • Reliable, hands-on, and motivated to make the role their own
