headspace provides support to young people aged 12-25 experiencing mild to moderate or emerging mental health issues. The multidisciplinary team at headspace Bega will work to improve health, social, vocational and educational outcomes for young people.
Grand Pacific Health is a not-for-profit, primary health care organisation. We're here to provide our local communities in NSW and the ACT with equitable, inclusive and integrated health care including physical health and mental health care services. We currently employ around 400 people, provide services from 25 locations and are continuing to grow.
About the position
The role of the Service Manager - headspace Bega is to provide clinical support and leadership to the headspace Bega multidisciplinary team, ensuring efficient, effective, safe and high-quality management and clinical service delivery consistent with best practice guidelines. This position reports to the Manager, Youth Health and leads the team and delivery of the program on a day-to-day basis.
The Service Manager – headspace Bega will work collaboratively with the Clinical Lead, headspace Bega and the broader headspace Bega team as well as external stakeholders to contribute to the development of person centred, recovery focussed, evidence-based and innovative clinical and psychosocial services that achieve high quality outcomes for young people and their friends, families and carers.
This is a full-time permanent opportunity. The position will be based in the Bega headspace centre with some occasional travel to headspace Eden and Cooma.

What you'll need
- Current full AHPRA registration as a clinical psychologist, registered psychologist, registered mental health nurse or occupational therapist, qualified social worker eligible for membership of the AASW or relevant skills, qualifications and experience in mental health services and health services management.
- Understanding of the Australian health care system and key issues relevant to primary health care particularly in relation to the health and wellbeing needs of young people living with mental health and/or substance use problems.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills and ability to establish partnerships with a range of service providers and organisations.
- Demonstrated skills in health services management including planning for and delivering on team objectives and deliverables, monitoring and maintaining team performance, ensure role clarity and accountability and facilitating collaboration.
- Understanding of the needs of diverse communities such as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD), and gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) communities.
- High standard of computer literacy and data entry competency including MS office and demonstrated capacity learn new technologies including clinical software packages.
- Current unrestricted drivers' licence and willingness to travel as part of the role. Periodic intrastate and occasional interstate travel will be required which will involve overnight stays.
- Previous experience in coordinating and managing the delivery of services of a multidisciplinary team in a health or community service (desirable not essential)
