Are you a passionate and experienced Bar Manager looking for a unique opportunity to lead a team in a fun, family-friendly environment? Cabarita Beach Surf Life Saving Club is seeking a dynamic individual to oversee our bar operations. This is a chance to not only manage a vibrant social hub but also to contribute to the heart of our community.

About the Role

This is a 20-hour, part-time contract reporting to our board. You'll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our bar, ensuring a high standard of service, safety, and compliance. Our bar typically operates from midday to 8 pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with responsibility for private functions. The bar may open for additional hours during school holidays.

What You'll Do

· Manage all aspects of bar operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and stock control.

· Lead and mentor our casual bar staff, handling rostering and training to ensure we're always ready for busy periods and events.

· Ensure our bar area is always clean, safe, and welcoming for members and guests.

· Support the success of private events and special club functions by working closely with the Office Manager.

· Maintain a positive, family-friendly atmosphere that reflects the core values of the Surf Club.

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking a proactive and professional individual with a passion for hospitality and a commitment to community. You should have a sound background in bar management, excellent people skills, and a keen understanding of compliance and safety standards.

  • Valid RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate - essential
  • Experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures
  • Knowledge of inventory management and stock control systems
  • Must have the right to work in Australia
