About the role

Streem is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Officer to join our team on a part-time basis, working 4 days per week. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the company's accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely collections and maintaining strong customer relationships.

What you'll be doing

  • Actively monitor and manage debtor accounts to achieve monthly cash collection targets, identifying risks early and resolving issues promptly.
  • Work closely with Account Managers to investigate and resolve debtor-related queries.
  • Manage the end-to-end collections process, including issuing reminders, processing credit notes, and escalating matters to collection agencies when required.
  • Prepare accurate debtor ageing reports and support cash flow forecasting activities.
  • Oversee daily cash receipting and complete bank reconciliations, including administration of client invoicing portals.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external escalations, ensuring timely and effective query resolution.
  • Contribute to the improvement of financial policies, management systems, internal controls, and reporting processes.
  • Ensure all activities comply with the organisation's delegation of authority policy.
  • Provide financial insights and support to business leaders as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as required by Streem.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Prior experience in Accounts Receivable, collections or a related field is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency required
