Theatre Bookings Coordinator

Lakeview Private Hospital (LPH) is a multidisciplinary private hospital located in Bella Vista, Sydney. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Theatre Bookings Coordinator to join our perioperative team on a permanent full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

•       Coordinate and manage theatre bookings to optimise utilisation, surgeon availability, and patient needs.

•       Schedule elective and emergency cases accurately, resolving any conflicts efficiently.

•       Act as the central contact between surgeons, anaesthetists, nursing staff, and administration.

•       Communicate clearly with staff, patients, and external providers.

•       Ensure compliance with hospital policies and clinical requirements.

•       Maintain accurate booking records and monitor utilisation and cancellations.

•       Provide reports to support planning and performance improvement.

•       Support patients and families with booking information and escalate concerns promptly.

•       Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams to ensure smooth operations.

Key Experience:

• Previous experience in theatre scheduling, perioperative administration, or hospital booking coordination.
• Sound understanding of surgical workflows and clinical scheduling.
• Proficiency in hospital information and patient management systems.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising across teams.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
• Customer service experience within healthcare (desirable).
• Knowledge of hospital policies, privacy, and compliance standards (desirable).
