RN Scrub Scout

Lakeview Private Hospital (LPH) is an established multidisciplinary private hospital located at Bella Vista, Sydney. An opportunity exists for a highly motivated and experienced Scrub/Scout Theatre RN to work on a permanent full time basis in our Theatres department. Part time will also be considered.

Essential Criteria

• Current Nursing Registration with AHPRA
• Minimum of 2 - 3 years' experience as a Scrub/Scout Registered Nurse in Perioperative Services.
• Experience in Orthopaedics, Urology, Dental, ENT, Laparoscopic, Plastics, Gynae and general surgery.
• The ability to work both independently and within a team structure.
• Demonstrated understanding of current relevant guidelines, regulations and standards.
• Understanding of the ACORN & National Standards.
• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
• Candidates with a postgraduate qualification in perioperative nursing will be highly regarded.
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills; the ability to engage positively with all stakeholders

To be considered for this role you will need to meet the following criteria:

• Understanding of scope of practice in line with relevant registration
• At least 12 months experience working in the relevant clinical area of their post-registration qualification; or
• Ability to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate care delivery needs of patient
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to work effectively in team environment & independently as required
• Excellent time management skills and strong organisational skills
• High attention to detail
• Commitment to quality, best practice and environmental safety
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
