To continue this successful Daily Fresh Food Service journey, we are looking for an experienced Purchasing Officer to join our dynamic, friendly team in our Sydney depot.

The Role

Working closely with our existing purchasing team, you will be responsible and take ownership for purchasing specific product categories across the entire business with a mix of exclusive and mainstream brands.  Your duties will include the following:

  • Procurement of stock in line with purchasing schedules to ensure goods are received in a timely manner;
  • Review the product range on a regular basis to meet company goals in relation to customer fit, profitability, availability;
  • Negotiate with suppliers to maximise opportunity based on current market conditions.

Essential Qualities

To be successful in the role, you will:

  • Have worked within a purchasing or supply chain team;
  • Be committed to providing excellent customer service within the business;
  • Demonstrate negotiation skills and have experience making targets;
  • Possess strong organisational and time management skills;
  • Have intermediate skill in MS Office (Excel) and possess critical thinking and analytical skills.
