Tough Dog Suspension is an Australian-owned and operated company, recognised globally as a premium brand in 4WD suspension solutions. With an established domestic dealer network and exports to over 60 countries, we're proud of our reputation for quality, innovation, and customer support.

We're now looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing Officer to join our team and assist in managing supplier relationships, purchase orders, and inventory planning across both local and international markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Raise and manage purchase orders with domestic and international suppliers.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory forecasting.
  • Track shipments, freight, and deliveries to ensure on-time arrival.
  • Maintain supplier records and assist with negotiations on pricing and terms.
  • Liaise with warehouse, production, and R&D teams to align purchasing with business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with import/export and customs requirements.
  • Provide regular updates and reporting on supplier performance and purchasing activity.

About You

You're organised, proactive, and enjoy working with numbers, systems, and suppliers. You thrive on accuracy and building good working relationships.

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or similar role.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
  • Good communication skills for dealing with local and overseas suppliers.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of logistics, shipping, and inventory planning (advantageous).
  • Background in automotive, manufacturing, or distribution (desirable but not essential).
