We are currently recruiting for a contract position based in Brisbane CBD supporting a Corporate Procurement team within a government department committed to providing safe, secure, and affordable housing for Queenslanders. Your role will help enable people to fully participate socially and economically by supporting housing assistance and homelessness services.

Role Overview
As a Support Officer in the Corporate Procurement team, you will provide essential administrative assistance to support the procurement of goods, services, and capital solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and cleanse data in contract registers using Excel formulas, data validation, drop down lists, and advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and power queries
- Organise stakeholder, customer, and supplier meetings including preparing agendas and taking minutes
- Manage registers, files, distribution lists, and databases including SmartyGrants and the Contract Disclosure Directory
- Prepare documents, reports, presentations and dashboards using Power BI, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams
- Apply procurement planning and basic project management techniques to develop and monitor work plans
- Support workplace health and safety culture by ensuring policies and practices are applied daily
- Comply with governance and risk management practices
Essential Skills – Please Note:
This role requires significant daily use of programs such as Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook. We are looking for someone proficient in:
- Using Excel formulas, data validation, creating drop down lists, and restricting data entry
- Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and power queries are highly desirable
What We Are Looking For
- Flexible and proactive, adapting to changing priorities with professionalism and accountability
- Excellent relationship builder with strong communication skills to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data management and reporting
- Experience with SharePoint, Power BI, MS Teams, and intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills preferred
- Previous experience in a providing support in a procurement environment ideally within the Government sector.
