Senior Project officer and Principal Project Officer
Are you a seasoned project leader ready to drive strategic and innovative change within a highly sought after Government Department? We are seeking not one BUT two Project Officers (A07 Principal Project Officer and AO6 Senior Project officer equivalent) to provide leadership and strategic oversight on critical, system-wide initiatives.
About the roles.
These roles require professionals who excel at managing complex stakeholder relationship and translating strategic policy and legislative mandates into deliverable operational outcomes.
You will be the key driver behind the design, planning, and implementation of strategic projects, ensuring alignment with the Department's core vision.
Key responsibilities:
Policy and Legislative: Providing strategic policy and proactive planning advice on specific issues, ensuring project design and implementation are fully compliant with legislative requirements and policy frameworks.
Change Management: Provide high-level leadership and participation to project teams in undertaking project planning, implementation and review.
Strategic Reporting & Governance: Prepare high-level documentation, including briefing materials, correspondence, and submissions, for Executive Director and key stakeholders. Maintain sound governance and manage program risk.
Stakeholder management: Develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate:Legislative: Proven ability to apply Policy, Change Management, and Legislation to project planning and implementation.
High level project management skills
Change Management Expertise: Demonstrated success in leading project teams through complex change environments and driving effective transition.
- Strategic Policy Development: The ability to provide strategic advice, thinking critically and acting on the broader purpose of the system.
- Communication & Influence: Exceptional communication skills to liaise, consult, and collaborate across other government departments and agencies.
