About the opportunity
The Food Services Operational Services Officer (OSO) provides operational support to ensure the highest standard of function service delivery and the achievement of Townsville Hospital and Health Service strategic objectives.
The position is responsible for meal production, service, and delivery of the Townsville University Hospital kitchen and to ensure the safe delivery, evidence based, best practice food and nutritional service to all inpatients across the Townsville Hospital campus.
The department comprises approximately 105 staff.

- Salary range: $ $41.66 p.h. (casual rate) (OO2)
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
Requirements:
- While no formal qualifications are required, basic food hygiene knowledge and completion of or the willingness to undertake training in Certificate II in Health Care would be highly desirable.
- The appointee to this position will be required to carry out frequent and repetitive lifting and manual handling of goods.
- The position is subject to flexible roster arrangements that may include a periodic requirement for work on weekends and evenings.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
