Iolar Operational Services (IOS) is seeking to engage an individual to work as a plant operator within the Western Downs Region. IOS manages and operates the Chinchilla, Miles and Dalby waste recovery centres on behalf of Council.

Preferred skills include:

  • Competency / ticket to operate backhoe required
  • Capability to work outside & undertake labouring and gardening activities
  • Waste management experience desirable.
  • Workplace Health and Safety knowledge
  • Computer/tablet and mobile phone literate
  • Good customer service and experience with dealing with challenging situations.
  • Able to work as a team or on own

Location: Working predominantly at Chinchilla and Miles. (Dalby as required)

Job Type: Casual.

Days of Work: up to 4 days per week including weekends.

Hours of Work: up to 6 to 8 hours / day

Pay Rates: Starting from: $37.66/hr with the weekend rate starting from $48.21, Rates in accordance with the Waste Management Award and relevant classification.)
