Front of House Officer

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity within the Yarra Ranges Customer Experience team, suited to an adaptable and bubbly individual.

We are looking for someone with a strong customer focus and work ethic to join our team providing services to all internal and external customers.

With a variety of working locations, we seek an individual who is motivated to actively support residents and visitors within the Yarra Ranges municipality on behalf of our organisation.

• This is a part-time temporary position (parental leave backfill) until 4th of October hours per fortnight) working the following days and hours:
  
  Week 1: Thursday & Friday: 8:45am – 5:15pm
  
  Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday: 8:45am – 5:15pm
• This is a Band 4 role with an hourly rate from $37.01 to $38.72 per hour, plus superannuation.
• This position is primarily located at Yarra Junction (2444 Warburton Highway, Yarra Junction), with a requirement to work from any of our other Community Links and to attend an occasional after-hours meeting.
• Our Community Links are in Lilydale, Upwey, Healesville, Yarra Junction, and Monbulk.
• The successful candidate will be required to attend training on a full-time basis for 2 weeks, rotating through all Community Links.

Experience and skills we're looking for

• Passion for providing a high quality, efficient and accurate service to internal and external customers with positivity.
• Commitment to the provision of a high-quality customer experience through continuous improvement, teamwork, and a positive team culture.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment as well as autonomously.
• A willingness to support a wide variety of tasks.
• Display use of corporate systems along with the ability to source information and contribute to knowledge resources.
• Able to accurately process customer payments, record transactions, and discreetly process personal documentation via various Council systems in accordance with Council procedures.
• Experience in fast paced environments, a strong track record of supporting challenging customers is advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with a diverse range of customers.
