SALARY: $74,000 – $80,000

WHO WE ARE?

At Dallas Automotive, we pride ourselves on servicing all makes and models of both passenger and commercial vehicles with precision and care. We specialize in full gas conversions, installations, and ongoing maintenance of all auto-gas systems, backed by some of the most experienced gas technicians in Victoria. In addition to our comprehensive mechanical services, we also operate as a local U-Haul agent, offering trailer hire in a wide range of shapes and sizes to suit various needs.

THE ROLE IN ACTION

• Identifying and diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues in engines and components
• Removing and dismantling engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and related components for diagnostic inspection
• Restoring and installing new parts in place of worn and damaged components, rebuilding mechanical assemblies, and consulting service manuals as required.
• Carrying out routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, lubrication, and engine adjustments, to improve vehicle performance and ensure adherence to emission standards
• Reconstructing engines and components following repairs.
• Evaluation and fine-tuning mechanical components after repair to ensure optimal performance.
• Identifying faults and inspecting components using computer.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technology advancements and repair techniques through ongoing training.
• Examining the vehicles and provide roadworthy certificates or specify necessary repairs to meet Road Safe standards.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and maintain a safe, organized workshop environment.
• Attend the calls for vehicle repair assistance.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

We are seeking a skilled and experienced automotive technician or mechanic who can accurately diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues. Applicants with expertise in gas conversations and auto gas system maintenance will be highly regarded. Applicant should hold relevant trade qualifications and a valid driver's license and stay updated with the latest automotive technologies are also important.

Qualifications & Experience:

i. Must have studied at least a Diploma of Automotive Technology.

ii. Minimum of 1-year of prior experience required.

iii. Highly oriented person.

iv. Adaptability and problem solving skills.
