Job DescriptionReporting to the Director Strategy & Enablement, the Senior Manager IT Planning is responsible for working with business areas to coordinate technical feasibility activities, business case guidance and creation in line with business requirements. And drive the continuous improvement activity in planning within the TS division. They will own and drive the Demand and portfolio management processes to enable TS to forward plan, resource and deliver to the organisation's strategic initiative and objectives.

The role has the following key focus areas:

  • Business case development and support – Feasibility, costing and technical feasibility & solution coordination with the related technical solution teams
  • Planning and Resource allocation – Updates high level planning for changes in TS pipelines, resources and their progress to enable better management and utilisation of TS resources in the Demand Management forecasting and management
  • Relationship management – Develops and maintains productive partnerships with business area stakeholders and TS service providers and providing guidance and insight into translation business requirements into technology needs.
  • Strategy - Shapes and manages strategy by participating in the development of strategic and operational plans to meet corporate objectives

What we're looking for:

  1. Extensive experience in managing organisational initiatives in a technical project environment
  2. Working knowledge of project management methodologies, principles and frameworks and facilitating change in a technical ICT environment
  3. High level analytical, conceptual, planning and problem-solving skills
  4. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including negotiation, facilitation and liaison skills and the ability to gain cooperation amongst stakeholders with potentially competing interests.
  5. Considerable experience in developing and managing relationships with internal and external customers, business partners and stakeholders with proven ability to build trust across various levels
