Availability: Weekday & Weekend availability

Swift Emergency & Urgent Care is a modern, fast-paced healthcare facility providing urgent and emergency medical services to our community. We are seeking an experienced and professional Receptionist to join our friendly team in a casual or permanent part-time capacity.

About the Role

As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a vital role in delivering a welcoming and efficient front-desk service. This position is suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and has the ability to manage multiple priorities with a calm and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors in a warm and professional manner
  • Manage patient check-ins and check-outs efficiently
  • Answer and direct incoming calls, emails, and enquiries
  • Schedule and manage appointments using practice management software (Best Practice experience highly regarded)
  • Process billing and payments, including Medicare and private accounts
  • Liaise with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with privacy regulations
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, and data entry
  • Support a clean, organised, and safe reception area

About You

  • Previous experience in a GP clinic, medical specialist practice, or hospital emergency department reception is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in Best Practice software is highly regarded
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work weekends as required
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and Medicare billing processes advantageous
