About us

We are a busy all-Female Specialist Medical Practice in Strathfield looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist - Part Time 2 - 3 days (upto 15 hours per week) who is professional, reliable and compassionate, to join our team.

Qualifications & experience

  • Highly organised with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience working as a Medical Receptionist/Medical Secretary role for a specialist or Surgeon preferred
  • Previous experience working with any medical practice management software - Genie Practice Software experience preferred
  • High-level computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and work as part of a team and/or independently
  • Confidentiality associated within a medical environment
  • Flexibility with work hours is essential.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Front desk reception duties - meet and greet patients, taking phone calls and patient enquiries
  • Booking and coordinating patient appointments
  • Efficient processing of correspondence including medical reports, confidential letters, emails and faxes
  • Daily Billing, processing payments and online claiming with Medicare and Eclipse
  • Liaising with other healthcare professionals and medical practices
  • Managing quotes and booking procedures on Genie
  • Maintaining Patient and Provider Database
